John U. Nwankwo Ph.D is a health educationist, an entrepreneur; and the President of Best American Healthcare University (BAHU). As BAHU President, Dr. John’s background includes many years of teaching, administration, counseling, pastoring, and outreach for development and sustainability for individuals and communities. His rare background as a motivational/public speaker, a best selling published author of numerous inspirational books, a business visionary, a public health practitioner and educator, and an Ordained Gospel Minister had afforded him the opportunity to work with numerous people from diverse cultures and backgrounds as he had previously worked in Africa and Europe. He enjoys health education and mentoring, managing and developing effective support programs that will enhance the quality of education received by students and communities as well. He is a people person, and has a special place in his heart for God. He enjoys motivating and empowering people, more especially, those from the minority populations to compete, overcome the odds, achieve success by receiving the best education possible, while reaching and maximizing their fullest potentials.
As an educationist and one who loves academic excellence, BAHU President has been involved in academic administration, instruction, and leadership for many years. He also served as an instructor at Babcock University Pre-degree School and the Religious Studies Department in Nigeria.
As the President of Best American Healthcare University, a small growing academic/career training institution in Riverside California, Dr. John oversees all aspects of academic programs and management at BAHU. He works as an executive officer of the university, working in collaboration with the university CEO, and other vice presidents as well as the institutions advisory board, providing other required administrative duties and leadership needed to point the institution in the right direction for growth and efficacy of the university and its program objectives. His other duties as the university president include also, the approval of employment of all full-time university personnel. Preparing in consultation with principle administrative officers, Dr. John as president, strategically pursue ways to advance university mission and goals. He also source for grants and funding of university projects, and seek for ways to forge intermediaries or partnerships to promote prosperity of the institution.
Before occupying the present position as BAHU president, Dr. John Nwankwo was the managing director of Jannychyun Professional Personnel-a medical and allied healthcare staffing corporation and was also a franchise co-owner of Around The Clock (ATC) Healthcare Staffing Services– a New York Based multimillion dollar national medical healthcare staffing cooperation for Orange County, California.
Dr. John Nwankwo received his Bachelor of Art (Hons) Degree in Theology from Babcock University in Nigeria, and a Master of Art Degree in Religion (Systematic Theology) from La Sierra University in Riverside, California. Because of Dr. John’s vested interest in health education and academic excellence; people’s empowerment, community development, and prevention of disease, the president proceeded to Walden University where he earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Minneapolis. He also obtained his Ph.D. degree in Public Health in the same institution with specialization in Community Health Education and Promotion. His most profound philosophy is that “the grace of God does not destroy human freedom, but renews and empower all of us to partner with God and make the world a better place for people” and that “extraordinary people were ordinary people who only decided to do extra ordinary things.” Dr. John Nwankwo is happily married to his best friend of over a decade, Jane John-Nwankwo and God has blessed them with three marvelous children.
