Jane John-Nwankwo CPT, RN, MSN, PHN, the CEO of BAHU, is someone who cares deeply about God and people. She is a visionary business woman, and enjoys motivating and empowering people, more especially those from the minority populations and the “voiceless”. She empowers them to arise and achieve, overcome and become the very best in what they do. In 2008, her lifelong dream of setting up a healthcare institution materialized as she and her husband founded Best American Healthcare University in the state of California.
BAHU CEO is also a Gospel preacher, motivational speaker, published author and is best known for multi-tasking and has successfully run specialized healthcare/Homecare staffing and recruitment agencies. In 2008, at the peak of the U.S. recession and global financial meltdown when people were holding tightly to their full time employment as the nation suffered serious financial meltdown, Mrs. John-Nwankwo, out of her love and passion for education as well as creating employment opportunities for people, laid aside her full-time employment in the hospital sector in order to focus on building her business which was incorporated the same year. Later, that year, together with her husband, they Franchised Around The Clock (ATC) Healthcare Staffing Agency—a New York Based multimillion dollar national medical healthcare staffing cooperation for Orange County, California.
As the U.S recession continued through 2009, with many job losses in California, under her initiative and leadership as the CEO, Best American Training Institute which was later re-named Best American Healthcare University, became the answer to many people who needed solutions and direction by retraining in the fields of healthcare for upward mobility and stepping out of unemployment paychecks. It was based on this premise, that BAHU CEO, in her commitment to put people’s success first above financial gains and to offer people an opportunity that will change their life while empowering these people and the residents of Riverside and its neighboring communities ensured that BAHU opened its doors to offering quality, and efficient cost effective academic and vocational programs. Up till May, 2017, Bahu can boast of graduating more than 5,000 students since its inception.
Among Mrs. John-Nwankwo numerous years of clinical practice and certifications, she is a registered nurse and registered midwife with many years of bedside patient care experience in the intensive care unit, telemetry, medical-surgical, maternal and child health, and mental health units, to mention but a few. Holding an associate degree in nursing from Ile-Ife Adventist School of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) degree from Babcock University in Nigeria, she also earned a Master of Nursing Science (MSN) degree from University of Phoenix in Arizona.
Her most profound philosophies are that “change does not just happen, human beings make the change” and “God does not need your ability but your availability.” Mrs. Jane John-Nwankwo is happily married to her best friend of almost two decades, Pastor John Nwankwo Ph.D., BAHU President, and they have been blessed with three excellent Children. She is a motivational speaker and a published author of many books including It’s in your hands, Don’t worry Be happy, How to make a million in Nursing, and many healthcare training textbooks like Home Health Aide Textbook, to mention a few.
