As a co-educational institution founded on the premise of God’s grace and Christian values, we believe that many of our students who may need spiritual guidance to walk that path or go through their daily experiences and academic journey should not be left to feel neglected and alone. Whether you are a local student, an adult learner, or an online student, the goal of the office of spiritual life is to empower you, build, and nurture a sincere and lasting relationship with the God who loves you very dearly.
First, there are many types of spiritual life opportunities each week, from our Wednesday evening worship at the campus to weekend worship and prayer sessions and other services held every Saturday at 10 am. Local or resident students and families are encouraged to attend. Our Saturday morning spiritual life opportunities offer students and families alike, the opportunity for community outreach, mission, and service and lunch is served too. For students who are interested to meet and forge new friendships and networks, this is a perfect spiritual life opportunity. For those who likes to volunteer, play musical instrument, sing in praise teams, cook, or just attend spiritual programs to relax after much academic stress or work, you will find our spiritual life programs very helpful and inspiring to sustain and satisfy your spiritual thirst and quest to meet with the divine. BAHU Spiritual Life office in collaboration with The GraceWorld Christian Fellowship, (GCF) a non-denominational Christian organization provides every student who may need spiritual assistance, the opportunity to feel connected and refreshed with the satisfaction the Holy Spirit brings. Great and inspirational music and sermons plus children programs are provided in addition to the Saturday morning spiritual life programs for students or families who have children. These life changing opportunities extends beyond graduation. Many BAHU graduates have had to regularize as members and alumna of the Spiritual Life program at BAHU because of the spiritual networks and connections built during their studies at BAHU and after graduation. Our Spiritual Life office is presently working out some partnership with GCF that will offer BAHU students the opportunity to go to Ghana (West Africa) within the first quarter of 2013 for a mission and over sea trip.
Whether you, your friends, or family members may need spiritual assistance, the office of Spiritual Life is here to help you. It could be for you to share that burden, to talk to someone else, to pray with you either in person or over the phone, visit with your family members in the hospital or for other chaplaincy needs, our goal is to stand by you so that you do not feel alone. Our spiritual life programs are non-denominational and as such, do not discriminate based on faith traditions or sexual orientations. We encourage every student needing some sort of help to attend our fellowships, prayer sessions, missions, and community outreach where the love of God, faith in the mercy of Christ, and the grace of Jesus reign supreme and is felt and seen in action.
